Wind turbine parts inspection
With their generous size, remote locations and great height, wind turbines are difficult to service. By using 4D InSpec’s hand held portability, especially combined with the battery power supply and tablet-based software, it’s possible to take the gauge right to the top of the tower, or from one end of a blade to the other, on the factor floor.
Examine blades, bearings, races and more with 4D InSpec to gauge wear and scratches. With an ability to measure textures, you may also measure grinding and machined textures for their tribological characteristics.
To save time in dismantling and parts transport, technicians can measure many parts, even sidewalls and channels can be evaluated, in many cases, by using a fold mirror.
